Join Black Futures Resident Artist Ashanti Hazina for a special therapeutic movement workshop at Zaccho Studio on May 4th, 2024, from 1 to 3pm.

This event is designed to welcome movement art lovers, practitioners, mentors, and anyone eager to explore the transformative power of movement and embodiment in the Bayview neighborhood, drawing inspiration from African-centered art practices.

Movement Moments is more than a workshop; it's an opportunity for participants to embark on a journey of self-discovery and emotional expression through intentional movement. Integrating elements from Ashanti’s artistic practice and African-centered art practices, this interactive event aims to guide participants in crafting a unique movement that encapsulates and communicates a significant aspect of their personal story.

Please know that there are only 15 spots available for this workshop! Preference will be given to Bayview Hunters Point residents. You will receive a confirmation email by no later than April 26th if you are one of the 15 participants.
