An Open Dress Rehearsal

We are opening our Dress Rehearsal to share Heart String with close colleagues and the local Bayview Community. A few things to note about attending this Dress Rehearsal: We are excited to share Heart String this night, but this is first and foremost a rehearsal: things might run late, stop, restart, etc. Our videographer will also be there shooting some footage. Overall, it will be joining us for a peek into the artistic process, be it a full run through, stops and starts with tech, etc. The Dress Rehearsal begins at 8pm - Please arrive at 7:45pm. We will be able to let guests in the building between 7:40-7:50pm. After that all staff will be occupied running rehearsal. We look forward to having you join us! 🩵

About Heart String:

Through dynamic aerial movement, emotive contemporary dance, and mesmerizing vocal harmonies, Heart String weaves a complex tapestry of death, grief, and resilience. The performance features an ensemble of dancers who have lost someone close to them and the Threshold Choir, a group who sings in small groups when invited to people who are dying. With evocative live music and dancers soaring through the air, Heart String brings us together for an evening of dance, music, and community exploring the bonds between the dying and their loved ones and honoring those we have lost and those who are still here. You're invited to join us for an evening of alchemizing grief into creation and celebration.
