The Transporter was commissioned by Epiphany Productions for their popular San Francisco street festival "Trolley Dances." The piece portayed an elderly man's dream of rekindling the fire of a long lost love. It took place on the 1923 street car (no. 952) from New Orleans, which ran on the famed “Desire” line. It was named for a street in the French Quarter.
